Utilitunes is an iTunes tool for album artwork, lyrics, tablature...
Display, download, and update album artwork, lyrics, and guitar/bass
tablature.
Utilitunes monitors iTunes and extracts the currently playing
song, artist, and album. It searches different websites for
artwork, lyrics, and tablature. When the song changes, Utilitunes
automatically performs the search and updates its display.
Album Artwork- Displays the album artwork and searches Amazon.com
(by artist and album or by artist). With Utilitunes, it is
easy to display and update the artwork for the current song
or all songs on the album (see preferences) with the results
from the search.
Lyrics- Sing along with your favorite song with lyrics provided
by lyrictracker.com. Utilitunes automatically searches by
artist and song or by artist and displays the results in the
drawer. Lyrics can be saved and edited.
Tablature- Uses OLGA.net to find guitar and bass tablature
by the song and artist. Play along as the results are shown
in the drawer and can be selected for display in the main
view. Tablature can be saved and edited.
Liner Notes- Displays additional information about the album
including date released, label, track names, and a review.
If Utilitunes still does not find the correct artwork, lyrics,
or tablature, hit the "Google it" button to perform a more
specific search using Safari and everyone's favorite search
engine. Artwork can be dragged and dropped from a web browser
to Utilitunes. Cut and paste lyrics/tablature. As always,
Utilitunes will save the new information.
Oh yeah, Utilitunes can also control iTunes. Start and stop,
skip forward, or rewind/go back.
