          The words and music have been written and composed by
          Vasco Martins, a genius of composition whose very
          multi-faceted nature and wide-ranging musical tastes
          have yet to be recognised at their true value; his use
          here of the African percussion instrument 'udu' is a
          novelty for Cape-Verdean music, as is his mixture of
          the MORNA and GALOPE musical styles in the song
          "Filosofia".
          HERMINIA is as unique in her own right as the music she
          sings is typically the music of this strange series of
          islands where life is hard and yet survival is joyful.

          This recording is a magic painting colored with the
          composition of Vasco Martins and the deep voice of
          Herminia. This blue and gray color of Cap-Vert creat a
          melancolic atmosphere between nostalgia and happiness.
