In the last versions of AstroShare and AstroView for Windows and
Macintosh we made it impossible for a hacker to crash either
application. Now we've extended that to not disconnecting an
active share session should a hacker attack occur. Instead we
gracefully disconnect from the unwanted hacker, show you
message in the "Alert Messages..." window, and keep your
connection to the share going. This is a very robust system
and probably the first of it's kind.
In AstroShare for Windows and Macintosh we changed the
"Connection Initialization..." window to allow for multiple
Desktop Usernames and Passwords. With this improvement
someone can now connect from AstroView as long as they know
one of the Username/Password pairs that you set up. The first
time you run this new version of AstroShare, you will start
with an empty Username/Password list. Your previous
Username/Password will have to be re-entered with this
new dialog.
In AstroView for Windows and Macintosh we added a "Connection
List..." dialog to the "Connection Initialization..." window.
This new dialog allows you specify multiple "Connection
Profiles". This makes it easy to then connect from one
machine to another and then to another. You simply put
the Location, Port, Username and Password in a new profile
for each machine. Then choose the profile you want using the
"List" button. Later you can disconnect from that share and
repeat the process for any number of machines you have profiled.
Unpack, copy patch to programm-dir, launch patch, enjoy !
