Thaiphoon Burner is the leading tool on the software market to
work with firmware of PC memory modules. It has been designed to
meet the needs of companies which are specialized on memory
modules production for personal computers. Thaiphoon Burner
includes powerful capabilities for reading, editing, updating and
reprogramming the SPD firmware of EEPROM chips. It fully supports
all popular JEDEC SDRAM standards and third-party enhancements,
such as NVIDIA EPP and Intel XMP. Using built-in SPD decoder
Thaiphoon Burner creates the most detailed reports on any SDRAM
module of any type. Thaiphoon Burner is the first Windows
application has opened a new area in SPD programming! Hardware
blasters are just legacy tools! Using Thaiphoon Burner it is
possible to program EEPROM of the memory module even on an
ordinary home motherboard! No any specials special skills or
devices required!
Thaiphoon Burner is the standalone executable Win32 application
which does not require any additional components, e.g. Windows
updates, NET.Framework, Windows Installer, etc to run. Just
download the zip package, unpack it and run the application. The
only requirement is administrative rights needed to install
kernel-mode driver.
HEX Editor
• In conjunction with the summary information panel provides an
ability to easily modify data registers of SPD EEPROM device.
Timing Table Editor
• Enables quick editing of memory timing parameters without the
need of using Hex Editor. Supports both DDR, DDR2 and DDR3
SDRAM SPDs.
EPP Enhancer
• Provides EPP profiles integration for SPD in accordance with
the NVIDIA EPP Specification 1.0. Designed for DDR2 SDRAM SPDs.
XMP Enhancer
• Provides a quick XMP extension for SPD in accordance with the
XMP Specification. Compatible with any DDR3 SDRAM SPDs.
Internal SPD Decoder
• Creates exhaustive reports for any type and standard of SDRAM
memory sticks in accordance with JEDEC's SPD specifications.
Part Number Decoding
• For Samsung, Hynix and Elixir DDR2 SDRAM and DDR3 SDRAM memory
modules. DDR SDRAM part number decoding is provided for Elixir
memory modules.
Database Net Browser
• Takes advatage of Internet Explorer browser engine to search
and view reports on SPDs of the on-line SPD firmware database.
SM Base Address Prober
• Applies brute-force attack to search for the SM Base Address by
using a classic SMBus communication protocol compatible with
ATI/VIA/Intel chipsets.
Write Protection Mode
• Prevents SPD data from accident writes when editing the data in
Hex Editor. Allows to create and modify SPD images in protected
mode.
SMBus Slaves Searcher
• Using the native SMB protocol this feature enables to find
software visible SMBus devices of any type linked to the System
Management Bus.
Text Dump Import Function
• Imports register dumps of SPD EEPROM devices from text file
reports created by third party diagnostic related tools.
The largest SPD Database
• Consists of over 850 SPD images of different PC SDRAM, DDR,
DDR2, DDR3 and FB-DIMM memory modules.

Release has been packaged as per original. Reason being, there
is no installer for this program. This allows easy
transportation (ie usb memstick) of the program.
This is also build 0601, the developer just didn't update the
About window (date of archive is June 01/09 equal to build).
INSTALLATION:
Unzip/unrar and you now have original zip release. Unzip this
archive to any location (hdd, memstick, whatever). Launch
Thaiphoon.exe click on Help then Registration.... Enter your/any
name in License Owner box and then any Activation Key and click
OK. Reopen Thaiphoon Burner, accept the popup message for the
last time and your done.
If you don't enter registration info on the first launch, you
WILL get a Checksum error! Registration is not valid! message on
your next launch. Just click OK and relaunch and enter your info
this time!
To get a list of available SPD, click on the Browser and then
Download and NOT search first. A list will appear and then do
your search/filtering.
