Û MrRay73 Mark II is a digital simulation of the famous Û
Û american electro-mechanical piano of the seventies, Û
Û invented during World War II by a music teacher, Û
Û Harold B. Rhodes (1910 - 2000), and widely used in Û
Û almost all musical genres ranging from soul/black Û
Û music to jazz, blues, modern and pop. This instrument Û
Û has rapidly become a legend, and is still used today, Û
Û altough samples have replaced the real thing so that Û
Û very often music producers use huge sample libraries Û
Û or hardware keyboards / workstations to achieve this Û
Û kind of sonority, and often the result is a cold and Û
Û 'dead' sound, with no vitality, no warmth, nothing Û
Û that even compares to the unpredictability and Û
Û genuineness of the real thing. In 2007 an Û
Û enterprising and far-seeing american businessman has Û
Û started a new Company with the aim to re-manufacture Û
Û the piano using the same recipe of the old factory, Û
Û employing the same ingredients and offering the same Û
Û "taste" of the vintage instrument. The new "Mark 7" Û
Û piano was presented at the NAMM show and it was a big Û
Û success. It's on the market again, after about 20 Û
Û years, with the same name, same "soul" but largely Û
Û improved under many important technical aspects. Û

Û In a similar manner, MrRay73 Mark II is the second Û
Û version of MrRay73, after two years from its Û
Û introduction to the public, but with a huge Û
Û difference in sound and functionality. While the old Û
Û MrRay73 was one of the first successfull simulations Û
Û of such an instrument, capable of offering similar Û
Û vitality, warmth and richness of the real thing, the Û
Û new "Mark II" version brings many new improvements, Û
Û first of all for what concerns "THE SOUND". As Û
Û opposite to sample libraries, a real-time Û
Û reproduction of a certain sound has the ability to Û
Û interact with the musician, producing different Û
Û behaviours from time to time. Hardly you will hear Û
Û exactly the same "waveform" twice. MrRay73 Mark II is Û
