         Û  SoniqWare  SG-1  is  a  professional  stereo spectral  Û
         Û  noise  gate packed  with high-end  features that  you  Û
         Û  will find very useful for most noise reduction needs,  Û
         Û  including hum, hiss, vinyl, tape, or background noise  Û
         Û  reduction. We hope that you will enjoy this  product.  Û
         Û  SG-1  operates  in  the  frequency  domain  using   a  Û
         Û  frequency  dependent  noise  threshold,  called noise  Û
         Û  profile. When the noise profile matches the  spectral  Û
         Û  content of a background noise on your material,  SG-1  Û
         Û  provides  accurate   noise  reduction   with  similar  Û
         Û  behavior than  other high-end  noise reduction  gear.  Û
         Û  Other  threshold profiles  may be  used for  creative  Û
         Û  adaptive  filtering  purposes.  The  profile  can  be  Û
         Û  captured from the audio signal using the capture  and  Û
         Û  timeout controls.  The profile  can also  be designed  Û
         Û  from  scratch  in a  parametric  fashion using  bias,  Û
         Û  slope  and  parametric  equalizer  controls  that are  Û
         Û  operated  on  the  graphical  display.  Real captured  Û
         Û  profiles can also benefit from this equalizer section  Û
         Û  for  fine  tuning.  Besides, the  noise  gate  can be  Û
         Û  controlled  accurately  through  several  parameters,  Û
         Û  including the noise reduction amount, the gate  knee,  Û
         Û  the  attack  and  release  times,  and  the  spectral  Û
         Û  resolution.  Faster  dynamics  and  higher   spectral  Û
         Û  resolution allow  for very  sharp action  on specific  Û
         Û  noises. Slower dynamics and lower spectral resolution  Û
         Û  allow  for  minimal distortion  of  the musical/audio  Û
         Û  signal  itself,  and  behaves  closer  to traditional  Û
         Û  noise gates.  Default settings  for those  parameters  Û
         Û  will provide convincing noise reduction with  minimal  Û
         Û  degradation on  most material.  You can  at any  time  Û
         Û  listen to the input or output signals, as well as  to  Û
         Û  the removed noise signal. The large graphical display  Û
         Û  shows the  input, profile  and noise  spectra in real  Û
         Û  -time. Finally,  the interface  also allows  to store  Û
