the architecture framework, while the second part focuses on the
technology architecture. In this second section, the author presents an
assessment of storage technologies and networking and addresses
regulatory and security issues. Additional coverage includes high-speed
communication mechanisms such as Ethernet, WAN and Internet
communication technologies, broadband communications, and chargeback
models. Daniel Minoli has written a number of columns and books on the
