         Û  "Silver Collection" - Devastor. Devastor is a  simple  Û
         Û  but remarkable  Multiband Distortion  Unit. It  is an  Û
         Û  enhanced  version  of the  distortion  unit from  our  Û
         Û  synth Phoscyon. Being  multiband, the sonic  mangling  Û
         Û  capabilities are endless!                              Û

         Û  Devastor  consists  of  three  blocks:   dynamic-gain  Û
         Û  module,  diode-clipper  distortion  and  three filter  Û
         Û  sections. Each of the filters can process the  signal  Û
         Û  before or  after the  diode-clipper. The  filters are  Û
         Û  not the  peaking EQ  type which  are used  in classic  Û
         Û  multiband  distortion They  are like  those found  in  Û
         Û  analogue synthesizers (low pass, high pass, band pass  Û
         Û  and  band  reject)-  with  adjustable  resonance  and  Û
         Û  cutoff. As a result, Devastor has a completely unique  Û
         Û  sound - just check out the Factory Presets.            Û

         Û  Devastor can used to distort and enhance a wide range  Û
         Û  of sounds - From full-on acid synth sounds to  guitar  Û
         Û  fuzz or analogue amp with combo speaker. It can  even  Û
         Û  be used with drums to make them sound more dirty  and  Û
         Û  dynamic!  Devastor  isn't   just  good  at   creating  Û
         Û  distorted  monster  sounds.  It  can  also  be   used  Û
         Û  subtlety to improve the timbre and character of  more  Û
         Û  gentle sounds. Reducing  the preamp gain,  increasing  Û
         Û  the  threshold  and  selecting  a  soft-knee  for the  Û
         Û  dynamics will bring out  more warmth and detail  in a  Û
         Û  sound without introducing distortion.                  Û

         Û  When   designing   Devastor,   we   applied   special  Û
         Û  antialiasing techniques to the output signal to  make  Û
         Û  sure the signal had  no aliasing (aliasing is  one of  Û
         Û  the  reasons why  digital distortion  units sound  so  Û
         Û  cold and  un-musical). As  a result,  Devastor has  a  Û
         Û  warm, musical and very high quality sound.             Û
