DVD VR Extractor is an easy to use yet powerful tool that can
convert or edit DVD discs created by camcorders or DVD recorders.
Archive your favorite memories safely on your PC Hard Disc Drive.

Process video and pictures from “ DVD VR” discs into PC files or
directly to “DVD video” discs
Convert the content of your DVD camcorder or DVD recorder discs
into MPEG-2 files for easy archiving or editing on your PC

· Extract data files such as JPEG pictures and copy them to the
PC
Convert DVD camcorder or DVD recorder “DVD VR” discs directly
into “DVD video” discs that offer compatibility with most DVD
players.
· Convert or extract the entire disc or a portion of the disc
· Keep or discard the original “DVD VR” chapters
· Keep or discard the original “DVD VR” Thumbnails
· Choose the DVD video menu from three predefined menu templates:
· Text buttons menu

· Support LPCM, MPEG-1 layer-2 and AC3 Dolby stereo audio
formats.

What is a “DVD VR” disc?
A “DVD VR” disc has the following characteristics:
· It is a DVD-R, DVD–RW or DVD–RAM disc.
· It was recorded using the “DVD VR” Video Recording format.
· It is usually created by DVD camcorders or DVD recorders.
The DVD VR “Video Recording” format was created to allow for real
time recording of video on DVD recordable discs. The “DVD VR”
format specification is different from the “DVD video” format
specification commonly used by the non recordable “Hollywood
movies”. Because of the difference, DVD VR discs do not play back
on all DVD players and need to be converted into DVD video discs
for optimum playback compatibility.
The documentation of your DVD camcorder or DVD recorder should
specify the recording format of your discs.
The following logos also indicate that your device is capable of
recording in the DVD VR format.
· DVD Video/RW/R
· DVD Video RAM/RW
· DVD Multi Recorder
Minimum System Requirements:
To ensure optimal performance, your system MUST meet the minimum
requirements. If your PC does not meet these requirements, you
WILL NOT be able to use the application successfully. If you have
a choice, however, we recommend that your system configuration
exceed the minimum requirements.
Operating System:
· The application supports Microsoft Windows XP and Vista. We
suggest that you also install the latest service pack for your
corresponding operating system.
Processor (CPU):
· To run properly a processor with a minimum speed of 700MHz is
required. For example, Intel Pentium III, Intel Celeron, Intel
Pentium 4, Intel Core Duo, Core 2 Duo and AMD Athlon
processors. In general all Windows PC CPU released after1999
are supported.
Computer Memory (RAM):
· A minimum of 128MB of RAM is recommended.
Graphic Card:
· An AGP graphic card, PCI express or better with a minimum of
8MB of RAM is required. The monitor display size should be a
minimum of 1024 x 768 pixels using a minimum color depth of 24
bits (True Color) or higher.
Hard Disk Drive Space:
· A minimum of 5GB free disk space is required on the partition
where the application will be installed.
CD/DVD Drive:
· Most commercially available CD-R/RW and DVD recordable drives
are supported, including DVD+R, DVD+R DL, DVD+RW, DVD-RAM,
DVD-RW and DVD-R, DVD -R DL.
Other Requirements:
· DirectX 9.0 or Higher.
· Windows Media Player Version 9.0 or Higher.
