Û ÛÛ    once again teamed up with Jonathan Barnbrook to bring you his      ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    latest venture into type land.                                     ÛÛ Û

Û ÛÛ    Priori is a logical progression from Mason, a typeface he          ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    designed around ten years ago. Where Mason was designed purely     ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    for display purposes and featured only caps, Priori includes       ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    lower case, companion serif and sans serif versions,               ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    alternates and, according to its creator, is shooting for text     ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    face status – a bold claim from a designer who loves to wear       ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    his influences on his sleeve and who has little use for            ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    typography that aspires to be "neutral" or "transparent."          ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ                                                                       ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    Like many of Barnbrook's typeface designs, Priori is based on      ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    his interest in British typography of the early 20th century.      ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    It is inspired by the work of famous British typographers,         ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    such as Eric Gill and Edward Johnston. But it also embraces        ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    all of the signage and lettering that Barnbrook observes in        ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    the streets, cathedrals, and public buildings of his London        ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    neighborhood. This mixing of native influences with a              ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    contemporary pop culture intent is what gives Barnbrook's          ÛÛ Û
Û ÛÛ    types a distinct and unique flavor. Like its creator, Priori       ÛÛ Û
