If you're looking for a cute game that will motivate your child to learn their 
spelling words, this isn't it. My experience is that programs of that sort 
involve a lot more playing than learning, and the child usually forgets about 
them in a week anyway. However, if you can say to your child "no playing until 
you do your spelling words" then My Spelling Words will teach your child their 
spelling words, faster and more effectively than anything else on the market.

This was a different sort of project for me.  While my other projects were 
technical challenges, this one was personal.  My eldest son was having a hard 
time learning his spelling words.  Each week we were spending hours drilling 
him, re-drilling him, and re-drilling him again.  The whole process was not 
only time consuming but also very frustrating for all of us - especially for 
Chris.  It was tough.  There had to be a better way. 

My Spelling Words is the result.  It doesn't teach spelling.  There are no 
fuzzy bears or cutesy games.  Instead, My Spelling Words effectively drills 
your child on their spelling words utilizing advanced algorithms you can 
customize.  It took over a year to develop.  Not because it was technically 
difficult to write, but because Chris and I were constantly modifying its 
form, function and methods until we were both pleased.  The results have been 
astounding.  Chris now spends about 15 minutes a day using the program.  My 
involvement is virtually nil.  Since he's started using My Spelling Words 
he's gotten 100% on most of his tests.  And best of all, Chris doesn't dread 
spelling anymore.  I've seen him double his practice time, just because he 
wants to increase his scores.
