º Will quickly and easily create and solve Sudoku puzzles. This is a puzzle  º
º with only one rule, but it can be fiendishly difficult to solve. The rule  º
º is simply this: Fill in the grid so that every row, every column, and      º
º every 3 x 3 box contains the digits 1 through 9.                           º
º Features:                                                                  º
º - Can create puzzles with various degrees of difficulty, or requiring      º
º   particular techniques to solve. Each puzzle has a unique solution.       º
º - Can solve puzzles completely automatically if you wish, and copy the     º
º   result to the clipboard ready for pasting into those competition entry   º
º   emails.                                                                  º
º - It solves using exactly the same techniques that a human would. Only if  º
º   this doesn't result in a solution does it resort to brute-force          º
º   trial-and-error, and you can selectively disable this, or any other,     º
º   solving technique.                                                       º
º - When solving automatically, it can create a log that shows the reason    º
º   for entering each number in each cell, and the logic that allows for     º
º   elimination of candidates. This is great for learning the advanced       º
º   techniques.                                                              º
º - It can open images of sudoku puzzles, and extract the puzzle using       º
º   optical character recognition (OCR.) This means you can drag'n'drop an   º
º   image of a puzzle from a website, and the puzzle is automatically        º
º   imported. Accepted image file formats are Windows bitmap (BMP), Portable º
º   Network Graphics (PNG), Compuserve Graphics Interchange (GIF) or Joint   º
º   Photographic Group (JPG.)                                                º
º - If you enter a puzzle with multiple solutions, it can determine how many º
º   there are, and then show them to you. (Are you listening Sky One?)       º
º - Can show the possible candidates ("pencil-marks") for each cell and      º
º   optionally keep them updated as you solve the puzzle. This removes the   º
º   tedium, but leaves the fun!                                              º
º - Can prevent and/or highlight invalid entries.                            º
º - Can show the limitations imposed by the numbers already entered.         º
º - When pasting from the clipboard, it will accept a wide variety of text   º
º   styles, and even images. This is extremely useful if you want to copy    º
º   from discussion forums, websites etc.                                    º
º - It can print the puzzle, optionally including pencil-marks, enabling you º
º   to solve away from your computer if you prefer.                          º
º - You can associate sudoku puzzle files, so that double-clicking one will  º
º   automatically open it in Sudoku                                          º
º - You can drag Sudoku puzzle files from Windows Explorer and drop them     º
º   onto Sudoku.                                                             º
º - Small and extremely simple to use.                                       º
º Sudoku will solve all puzzles - including those in the "fiendish" category º
