An integral part of the design of any mold is, of course, the design and
detailing of the moldbase. Mold designers need a design tool that is easy to
use, performs repeated tasks automatically, produces 3D solid models that
update with changes to design parts, and enables capture of in-house design
knowledge that can be reused in subsequent designs.
Much more than just a library, Pro/ENGINEER Expert Moldbase provides "smart"
moldbases and mold components that handle this job of moldbase design,
detailing, and creation. When components are placed, operations such as
clearance cuts and drilled and tapped holes are automatically performed on
the appropriate neighboring plates and components, thereby relieving the mold
designer of time-consuming, repetitive mold-detailing tasks.
Installation:
As an extension pack of Pro/E, You should install
Pro/ENGINEER 2001/WILFIRE/WILFRE2.0/WILFRE3.0Pre before you install the EMX
v4.1 extension pack of pro/E and ensure your pro/e license includes the #192
feature< Feature Expert_Moldbase(192)> of pro/e. Of course, prior to rlz lic
of Pro/e by ZWT includes the feature.
OK, if the above reday, let's go now:
run setup, choose all installation options and the right language which you
need and choose an installing location, e.g. c:\ptc\emx4.1 , then Press Next
button till finish.
then:
A:For Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire/Wildfire2.0/Wildfire 3.0 Pre user(For Pro/E2001
user,please jump to B)
Copy the following file under the installed emx4.1.M350 directory,
e.g.: c:\ptc\emx4.1\text\config.pro and paste it into the following
installed directory of pro/e, e.g. for wildfire 2.0, please paste it into
here: \proeWildfire 2.0\text
B. For Pro/ENGINEER 2001 User:
Find the following file under the installled emx4.1.m350 directory:
\emx4.1\text\protk.dat and open it with Notepad or other text editor,
then search the string $PRO_MACHINE_TYPE/emx41.dll and replace it with:
$PRO_MACHINE_TYPE/emx41_2001.dll and save the file,then like Step A , copy
the file \emx4.1\text\config.pro into the pro/e 2001 installation directory:
\ptc\proe2001\text
OK, now run pro/e you'll find the Expert Moldbase Extension work now.
