   Skalpell is a Swiss dark industrial band that combines ambient
   sounds with minimal dark noises to present to an eerie released
   called "Some of Nothing." This 2005 release by Skalpell (limited to
   300 copies) is very dark and cold in both the graphics and the
   songs.Each song starts off with almost a strange silence and slowly
   mounts into a blend of many different sounds, such as, hellecopters,
   crickets, water, sirens (and many more) to samples to create a
   serene, almost scarey atmosphere. Some people may dislike this music
   because it is so minimal, but if you listen to the tracks you will
   recognize how the title "Some of Nothing" matches the daily sounds
   of life inside each of our worlds.

   appropriate musical realm Skalpell is striving to provide some kind
   of projection of images invoked by the subconscious and seen through
   the minds eye.
   With its roots in the so-called 'industrial music' of the early 90s

   from harsh noise trainings to haunting dark ambient soundscapes with
   occasional regurgitations of popular elements. As a natural
   progression the work has also recently culminated into the

   :With some of nothing ART KONKRET label presents the third release
   in the dark ambient series. The CD comes out with a 17 x 17 cm
   printed artwork in a plastic packing and is strictly limited to 300
   copies.
   Crushing fluid ambient sounds are descending upon the listener,
   slowly moving waves of pulsating machine sounds and cold atmospheric
   elements mixed together with urban athomspheres. Hollow vocal
   samples and echoing percussions in the behind pull the listener in
   their ban. The album includes also very dark tracks with high
   pitched sound and dark cut up´s but also tracks with slow rhythm.
   You will discover also ritual incluences but also dark ambient
   soundwork. The some of nothing album is all in all very varietal and
   you will never get bored."
